Making your way around

Moving around

The game uses five keys to navigate the world: Up, Down, Left, Right, and Jump. Left and Right makes Bonnie run left and right, while Up and Down makes Bonnie look up and down while standing still, as well as climb ladders or drop off hangbars while she is on any. The Jump key makes Bonnie jump, while in the air you can release the button early to make her drop down. Additionally, you can pause the game with the Pause button.

All these buttons can be set in the Controls menu, make sure to make yourself comfortable with them.

Structures

While traveling around the land you will come across many different types of terrain and objects. Some are moving, some can be passed through from below but not above, some can be broken and some you can hide in from enemies. Make sure to take advantage of these in a fight. These are some of the most common ones you will find no matter where you're going:

This is a statue of the Seraph Bonnie. It serves as a checkpoint and you will respawn from here if you run out of health and lose a life. If you are low on health you can also press Up while next to it to pray, slowly recovering health points up to half of your maximum.

When you touch the statue a faint orb of light and a sharp sound will indicate that your progress have been saved. You must touch the statue in order for the checkpoint to activate, jumping over it will not count. Touching a statue later into the stage will trigger all untouched ones before it.

This is a bounce pad, they launch you at whichever direction they're facing at tendermous speed. Bonnie will gradually slow down to her normal maximum speed after being launched. It's a good idea to practice changing directions when using bounce pads as to not cause Bonnie to break immediately afterwards.

This is a hangbar attached to a zipline. While hanging, Bonnie cannot move or attack normally, but she can use her whirl. Hangbars on ziplines only move when someone is riding them. Hangbars not attached to a zipline do not move at all. A zipline has to go through the entire length of the direction it is going before you can ride on it backwards.
