Mega Man Overdrive is an expansive and ambitious fan game project which has been evolving for a few years now. We aim to mix best bits of classic 8-bit Mega Man with modern design principles and enhancements, along with a few twists of our own. For example, Mega Man Overdrive is the first Classic platforming, Mega Man fan-game designed for widescreen and makes liberal use of parallax, rotation and particle effects throughout it's many stages. Alongside this, Mega Man Overdrive features a VRC6 soundtrack!
This Demo features the main path of Thaw Man's stage and boss fight.

Plot Synopsis

University of advanced robotics 20XX, Dr Light is lecturing to a group of the world’s leading roboticists about his newest innovation in the Field of Robotics. Crystallised Overdrive Energy, A new powerful but unstable source of energy that can enhance and augment the functionality of robots through chips. With help from Mega Man, Dr Light begins a demonstration of the new technology when suddenly Dr Wily attacks the institution; stealing experimental robot masters and sending a new Robot named Synth to steal the ability enhancing chips from Mega Man.
With the Overdrive technology in his hands, Dr Wily begins his most devious plan to take over the world yet and once again, only Mega Man can stop him!
